Artists / Sebastian Meade
Date: KahBang
After a stroke
at the age of thirteen, Sebastian Meade used up his angst! While at Ripon College, he took all the art history and studio
classes possible. That was when he figured that it was important to make art that encouraged the general public to enjoy and feel invited
to experience art and to do that through whimsy and humor. He has accomplished this by making alien looking robots, space scape
paintings, space capsule sculpture and now by adding monsters to his work. Although he has had some intellectuals and theorists tell him
that he is not taking art seriously, Sebastian finds it is more important and even harder to reach out to many while possibly
alienating a few.
